Peter Kay - One of the Best Comedians in the UK

Peter John Kay is one of the famous comedians in the UK who holds the record for the biggest selling stand-up DVD and autobiography. He was born in Bolton and most of his material is based on his life experiences as from his childhood he felt being delighted in making people laugh and loved entertaining others. In 1996 Peter Kay participated in the North West Comedian of the Year and won the best comedian act. The gifted comedian won Channel 4's ‘So You Think You're Funny' contest in 1997 and also received a prestigious Perrier Award nomination in 1998, after giving performance at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Although he regularly appeared at London's influential Comedy Store, the Barracuda Club in Lincoln and various other clubs but he got the phenomenal mainstream prominence in 2000, when he participated in "Live at the top of the tower". He worked in That Peter Kay Thing, Phoenix Nights, Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere, and many other independent productions. He has also released several DVDs of live performances, including Live at the Top of the Tower, Live at the Bolton Albert Halls and Peter Kay: Live at Manchester Arena. In films he played minor roles for instances he worked in Going Off Big Time with Neil Fitzmaurice in 1999, his other film are: 24 Hour Party People, Roddy Smyth Investigates and The League of Gentlemen's Apocalypse. In 2005He also provided a voice to the character PC McIntosh for the film Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.
